TO visit this house with the blue Mediterranean spread before it, is to follow in the footsteps of henri Matisse.

From the terrace, the view offers an inexhaustible source of Mediterraneane nuance, dominated by subtle shifting quality of blue that lingers in the memory.

The owners on DAR en nadour still remember Henri Matisse sitting on there terrace, painting. it's a place of deep serenity. for generations the vine-clad house behind has been giving of itself to all comers. with a décor veering fromthe west to the oreint and back again, it is filled with sofas, poufs and cushions, along with collection registred as part of morocco's heritage with ministry of culture.
Among te masterpeices here are couple of large roman mosaics, sculptures of animals, and numerous busts and status from antiquity. corridors and walls of enamelled tiles (14th century spanish-moorish zliss or zelligs) lead trough to cool, often windowless rooms, in the heat
